The mindset behind Haiku of Jihad has led me to other sources of inspiration than the SITE, as can be seen from the entries by Hugo Chavez and Bill Moyers. It has also led me to other causes and beliefs that are likewise stated eloquently but not based on Jihad per se. For lack of a better name, I call these Haiku of Faith. Not necessarily the blind Faith of religious fundamentalists and such, but rather a firm belief in one's personal convictions or opinions. This opens a door to lots of possibilities ...
M.L. King Jr, on Unity ... march for equal rights speech
we must learn to live
together as bretheren
or perish as fools
Brian Wilson, on Loyalty ... surf music song lyric
be true to your school
just like you would to your girl
let your colors fly
James Toney, on Achievement ... after losing to Samuel Peter
you can't say he won
he looks just like larry holmes
all ugly and shit
